Open Skies:A Wild Retreat in Utah

August 24-30th

For the woman who needs time to sleep under the stars:

Our roadtrip-style Utah retreat will drop us directly into curiosity and play, not only with ourselves, but with the natural world.

This is the time we have all been waiting for to finally disconnect from the daily life and responsibilities that we all carry. The opportunity to truly disconnect, turn our phone on airplane mode and be in nature together as women. We will come together to move our bodies and spirits through the beautiful landscapes of canyons and deserts, experiencing laughter and challenge as explore these lands together.

Throughout the trip, we will be utilizing a number of mediums to capture a moment, a feeling, an expression. this is meant to be a form of play and experimentation, rather than an outcome-based theme. we will sketch on trails, observe the sunsets, and most importantly, reconnect with out body’s in nature.

This is the time to step off the constant wheel of life that we all must be on to function in society. This is our reality, but it doesn’t have to be our everyday. This time together in Utah will be to honor the slowing down from the daily responsibilities and welcome in exploration and play.

Wild Retreat: Tier 2

This retreat is the first of our new style retreat in a tiered offering-- to allow safe spaces for those who are prepared to hike and adventure at various levels. This adventure will be a tier 2! We will plan to hike in the average 5-7 mile range, alongside strenuous adventures in the narrows and canyoneering

On this retreat, you are not running on the world’s expectation of availability— you are taking time for yourself in nature and disconnected from the daily wheel we all follow to operate in daily society. This wheel is not a bad thing, as it is necessary to continue onward in life as a functioning member of society… but when we forget to stop the constant churn of tasks, expectations, responsibilities, we burn out. We feel disconnected, discontented and overall just exhausted.

We truly believe that the anecdote to the overworked and maybe overwhelmed is always time in nature, in community with other women. Moving your body in nature, exploring new places externally and within the body bring profound peace and shifts in perspective. That is what we will be doing together while in Bryce Canyon:

  • Stepping off the wheel of life to reset and reconnect in nature

  • Move our bodies in familiar and new ways while exploring the majesty of the landscapes of Bryce Canyon

  • Laughter and s’mores shared over campfires canvassed by the open sky

  • Moving your body in familiar and new ways to experience these beautiful landscapes.

  • Leaving responsibilities at the door, we planned everything for you and you can freely step of the daily task wheel to simply be and enjoy

Arrive here ready to explore landscapes, both external and within:

Immersed in the National Parks & Beyond:

01 / A Return to the Wild Woman

There is no better to reconnected with the wild woman than placing ourselves in the wilderness and experiencing the natural elements. The desert and canyons offer a landscape so beautiful and unique that we cannot help but see our own reflection of uniqueness in their environment we will experience together.

02 / Connecting to Nature through Movement

This is a Tier-2 Wild Retreat, this means will will be doing repeated hikes of 5-7 miles in length over consecutive days together. When we challenge our bodies, we can become the unique observer of the mind and experiences that bubble up. This is an opportunity to meet whatever comes up with compassion and love as we move through the natural world together.

03 / National Parks and Cayoneering

We have the absolute delight to not only move our bodies through hiking, but also we will be kayaking and canyoneering! This is an incredible way to experience these landscapes and they may be a new movement for you in your body! We will have expert guides to explore these new modalities while being awed by the landscapes we will move throughout.

Who This Retreat is For:

  • The woman who feels ready to step off the daily wheel of responsibilities and tasks

  • The woman who has spent so much time caring for others that she no longer knows what she needs herself

  • The woman who feels disconnected to nature and her body, ready to reestablish that relationship

  • The woman ready for a physical challenge and excited to see what arises within

  • The woman who longs for the natural world and a deeper connection to the earth spirit

  • The woman who is excited to try new methods of movement and physical expression

  • The woman who is ready to be a little sandy, a little dirty, and loving every second of it

I have to say, I was nervous to travel across the country by myself to hang out with a group of strangers... but it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! We hiked, we laughed, we star-gazed in the desert and had the best time. I left there with my heart so full!”
